August 25th, 2010 by Lindy BurkeThe Sun in Virgo
August 24th, 2010 by Lindy Burke
News Update:
The Sun has just entered patient, modest, pragmatic Virgo (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22.) Virgos shine thru their amazing efficacy and dedication to service. Being a Mutual sign makes Virgo flexible and idealistic. As an Earth sign they are practical and concerned with tangible results. Your keen gift of discrimination pushes you to excel at whatever you do, making you a master craftsman. At times your sharp eye see the flaws in the works of others and in the name of perfection, you may inform them. Not usually a good idea, unless you’re the boss. You may feel that no one can do a job as well as you. Others figure this out and step back and let you do all the work. Isn’t that exhausting. Have a job or hobby you love and your hard work will pay the desired dividends.
For this birthday Virgos will have the opportunity to build practical, long term financial goals. Virgo is comfortable with slow and steady accumulation of security in the form of resources. This year may be particularly budget minded.
Till after 2011 relationships will remain of focus. Marriages, close friends, partners and clients benefit from your expansive attitude. Some relationships move to a higher level or pass out of your life, according to your need. Keep in your life only those who know your worth..
For everyone else:
With the Sun in Virgo we all can pay attention to and improve our daily routine, health, diet and exercise. If you have a project that requires sorting and deciding what to keep and what to let go; do it now. Virgo energy will make it easy.
Mercury is retrograde as the Sun enters Virgo, which is good for quiet reorganizing and reworking.
The Cardinal Cross of August
August 18th, 2010 by Lindy BurkeHello,
The Cardinal Cross (involving Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) that peaked Friday August 6th is slowly separating from its powerful aspects. We can breathe a sigh of relief and I hope everyone weathered weekend without too much stress. Changes abound in my client’s lives. Clients have been changing jobs, getting married (oh, dear!), moving, retiring, beginning new relationships, having reunions and completing projects of years duration.
Some have felt this energy more than others. In world news we’ve seen devastation by floods in Pakistan where 14 million people have been displaced. This catastrophe is said to have put the country back 50 years or more. Russia has had wild fires that destroyed villages, crops and livestock. Drought in other parts of Russia has destroyed 1/3 of their grain crops, which will be felt by the nations that depend on Russian wheat. In the US we have death in the Gulf of Mexico as well as floods, fires and droughts that exceed the norm.
On the positive note: bank regulations have been passed, continued relief for the unemployed and money to save jobs was approved.
But, there was no BIG event. Does that mean we’re home free? Well, no. The early Cardinal degrees remain sensitive and intense. They are cocked like a gun (a gigantic gun) and waiting for the pressure that will set it off. This trigger could be anything that crosses the early cardinal degrees; a new moon, an eclipse, the Sun, Mars or solar flares. So we wait and watch. The power of this Cross lessens by the end of September. We’ll see what happens.
Examine your life. Is there anything outdated or limiting in your life. This is the time for action and change; considered and practical change. Let a new you emerge, just don’t burn any bridges yet.
This is a perfect time to clean out closets, files, cupboards and garages. Clean out the whole house, your car and your office, then you’ll be working with the positive energies of this Cardinal Cross.
May love fill your heart and overflow.
Lindy, CPA

Powerful Eclipse on June 26th
June 25th, 2010 by Lindy BurkeReady or not, here it comes.
There will be a Partial Lunar Eclipse on June 26, at 4:40 am PDT, in the sign of Capricorn. This sensitive full Moon is conjunct powerful, transforming Pluto, so feelings run deep and things can go from edgy to dangerous. This can bring heightened and possibly challenging experiences to masses of people and anyone with important natal planets in Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn at 3 -5 degrees. These people may have incredibility intense feelings that are difficult to articulate. On a large and small scale the desire for control can lead to secrets and manipulations. The problem is that secrets made now will come to light later with serious consequences. Power struggles on all levels become intense. The effects of the eclipse are felt a few weeks before and six months after it occurs, so this energy will be with us for awhile. Handled well, this eclipse can bring tremendous healing and transformation on a vast scale.
The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto will all be involved in a stressful Grand Cross increasing the power of the eclipse. This Grand Cross lasts throughout the summer. Expect disturbing news in the media of natural and manmade crisis. Balance in our lives and in the world is important, along with the knowledge that we must do what is best for all, not just ourselves.
