Journey into Self – Living the Spiritual Path

Throughout life, we are on a constant search for happiness.  We expect that we will find happiness when we find the right person, or the right job, the right house, the right car, the right money or a combination of these.  Yet, when we attain these things; we find that happiness continues to elude us.  The truth is, true happiness cannot be found in any of these sources.  Any happiness obtained from them, is only temporary.  Our quest for happiness is the quest for God.  God is bliss.  Our Spirit realizes that eternal happiness comes with permanent union with God.  But since, we  identify with our physical being; we are deluded into thinking that the physical realm will be the source of our happiness.  Union with God is the only true and permanent source of happiness.  Anything less, is unsatisfying.  Sa Ra
