Who is Driving?

Fear

Fear is a symptom of attachment. People become attached to things that exist outside of themselves in their eternal pursuit of happiness under the illusion that attainment of things will bring happiness. These things can be material, emotional or sensory. Fear arises when one who is attached begins to perceive and worry about the possibility of losing that which they are attached to. This begins a cascade of negative emotions that can consume and overwhelm a person.
